A Mother-In-Law Suite Design That Will Make You Want to Move In
When you think of living in a basement, what do you think of?
My challenge for this client was to create a soundproof residence, with a kitchenette, a bedroom, and a bathroom, in the farmhouse style for an aging-in-place widow. This is a Mother-In-Law Suite in her basement.
As you’ll see in this tour, I created ways for it not to seem as if you are underground by incorporating a wildflower mural in the bedroom, as well as small windows that allow sunlight into rooms that would otherwise be dreary.
