One Room Challenge May 2024

Teen Boy Sensory Friendly Bedroom Makeover

This home office needed to become a sensory-sensitive sanctuary for a thirteen-year old boy’s bedroom. The design delivers a athletic futuristic design that is within the client’s budget. Designing a space that caters to his sensory needs while also reflecting his budding personality has been an incredibly rewarding journey. This project was part of the One Room Challenge, which is a non-competition interior design community eight-week annual event.

Disclosure: this project was for my nephew Logan.

Our family has collaborated on Logan’s bedroom for almost a year, with the majority of the actual work taking place in the last two months. My sister did an AMAZING job creating a design that fits Logan’s interests and personality!🤩🤩🤩. She was patient and understanding... It was an amazing experience and we all absolutely love his new room!
